Who has tried it and what are your thoughts??

I should be able to get it for under $160AUS delivered.

I would say, however, that if you like Macallans to go ahead and buy it. Provenance and taste aside, it's a great looking bottle to have in your cabinet. Based on a fake, not authentic - I don't care, so long as it's good whisky - which, according to MJ, it is. . .
My vote - go for it.
PS - I paid US$220 for my 1861, so your 1841 doesn't sound that bad at all by comparison. . .
So i'm pretty happy. Not that i'm planning on opening it for a while.
But i'm looking forward to the day that i do
That doesn't take away the good tasting notes of course..
