Longrow 18 Year Old

Postby jplu2 » Tue Apr 01, 2008 9:04 pm

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone knows when and where the new Longrow 18 Year Old will be available. I am in South Africa but my wife and some friends are coming out in the middle and the end of April. Was hoping they could pick up a bottle of this when they come out ... but i can't seem to find it on any of the regular websites.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
Jordan

P.S. Drinking a Longrow 10 year old 1994...quite superb really!

I guess it isn't going to be quite 16 yet if it's 1994.

If you live in Soth Africa and have a boat, you can get Longrow quite easily - you'll just have a long row.

Sorry jplu2 you are right it is the 18 and is due out this month in April. As its only the 1st today there is still time for you to get this release as long as it comes out on time. :)

Got a little confused there with your first post...thought I was going crazy....or had too much whisky! :insane:

But seriously I am sure that it is a 18 year old...have a look at these links

http://www.whiskyfun.com/archivemarch08-1.html#090308 (about half way down)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Longrow-18-y-o-3- ... dZViewItem

And it was also announced on the Springbank website...

Les - The fella at Oddbins told me that it had gotten good reviews and that it was worth a try. They only had one bottle so left so I brought it :D

Now I think about it, it could have all been a sales pitch!
I'll let you know once I open it!

listen to your uncle dog ... longrow 18 .. only 2200 bottles worldwide.

this is in the same league as lagavulin21, PE 6th edition or festival laphroaig.

The dogs nose has twitched ... trust the dog.

But if you don't live in the UK, it's a little bit of a problem.

Picked one of these up this afternoon along with a CV for good measure.

Pity about the presentation, i.e. the box. Initially it looks ok but on closer inspection it's a bit flimsy and a bit cheap looking :(
