and it's more expensive than expected. I'd say the " Committee Approved" would be about 80£ or so, but not sure really. Just glad I've got a bottle, it's great!

I take it by Ardbeg Very Young Committee Reserve you mean the one that 's got "For Discussion" stamped on it ?
The main difference is that the "For Discussion" was a 1997 , 6yo , 58.9% , 4002 bottle release . Where as the Ardbeg Very Young Committee Approved was a 1998 , 6yo , 58.3% , unknown number of bottles . A lot of people , incl me , refer to the first as VYA and the second as AVY (due to the way they are wrote on the label) . Both were un-boxed or at least mine were !
