175 month old, 1972 Jim Beam

Postby heloteach » Thu Nov 22, 2007 12:20 am

My mother Has an unopened bottle of 175 month old Beam from 1972. It's 85 proof and comes in a regal china bottle and fancy velvet lined box. The bottle is gold with pink flowers near the top. Is it any good and is is worth selling or should I just tell her to give it to me so I can drink it?

Yes, pretty good. No, not worth much. I recently opened and poured a 180-month, Seventies, Regal decanter I bought for something around $20. That's pretty much the going rate on eBay, the only market from which many are available.

Thank you for the info. I know what my uncle and I will drink for Christmas.
