Just as with the vintage dated Mac 25s, is there a significant difference among the five Bruichladdich Legacies? I don't know that I can get the Series One, but my wife has enlisted the help of a friend in the UK...

Have not had it yet, but who is to argue with Jim.... ???? If he says it is really good, it has always been really good.
after he told you number 5, was his next words "atually we have a few bottles of it in the shop as its not shifting too well"

Ok, I have to ask. Which one was the stunning Legacy?
And how does the 125th compare to the 1970 OB? I'm not likely to find the latter and the former is pretty expensive... Recognizing that "worth" is very subjective, are the 1970s worth it? Or is my money better spent on tracking down the "stunning Legacy?"
Thanks so much!
vitara7 wrote:thats great news, did you get it for £155? ive seen them on various other web sites for a lot higer than £155
It was £185. I was so excited I forgot to ask if that was including the VAT or not... Ooops.
Fwiw, a restaurant in NY has it for $55 a pour! Maybe I can recoup part of my cost that way...
vitara7 wrote:but since your outwith the EU, isnt there somthing you can do to claim the vat back on the puchase?
Yes, when I buy something in person, the shopowner gives me a form to fill out and reclaim the VAT. When I buy online and they ship it out of the EU, they automatically deduct the VAT at the time of sale...
So you just gave me some great news again!
Wave wrote:As much as I love Binny's I'd never buy any of the Bruichladdich Legacy's there since I could order them from Scotland direct and save about $150 (LFW).
You are right Wave- I have been seeing that recently- for more expansive bottles, best to order across the pon (say $300 and up).
