Which Macallan 25 vintage?

Postby Sherried Malt » Fri Aug 17, 2007 7:22 pm

Does anyone have an opinion on the various vintages of the Macallan 25 Anniversary bottling? How much did it vary from year to year? (I believe they stopped showing the distillation date after 1975 or 1976...)

Was there the variability that Macallan 18s from the very early 80's seem to have vs. ones from the Seventies?

Or is there any difference between the dated ones vs. the undated ones currently produced?

Thanks to all for your help!

Thanks guys. That really simplifies the search. Both of you are invited for a dram or two!

Sounds like a good road trip to me. I'm sure I can find a good sherry whisky.

Take the Southern Route for a mega tasting in Charlotte

Never mind the pilfering. The links have nothing to do with whisky. I think we have a wee bit of trolling here.

Guys, I don't know that I can offer up the same mega tasting as Dr. Rich, but I'm sure we'll find something to keep everyone going... :D
