It's a beautiful malt which, as I recall, Jim Murray rate extremely highly.

I have yet to try it though. Bin feeling a bit off the lst few days, and not in the mood, but better now. Maybe tonight...my neighbour's been trying to get me to try a Jura superstition he has, but the timing ain't been right. but I'm "home alone" tonight, and have left him a message saying i have a surprise for him too
Fair exchange is no robbery...
I first spotted it years ago, and like you was impressed by JM's rating it as high as the standard 10, even tho' he admits to being wary of finishes...
I remember liking the 'fiddich Havana finish. I was given a bottle after being hired to play a mysterious gig with a guitarist friend in the heart of London that was very well paid...turned out to be the launch of this whisky! so they threw in a bottle as a bonus, cos they liked us, and my drooling forlornly over the whisky obviously melted their hearts.
JM didn't rate it tho' so...eager anticipation over here for the Glenmo'!!
I was surprised to see such enthusiasm for the Rum Cask, assuming a large interest such as Glenmorangie wouldn't attract the cultured palates here, or the sages, JM and MJ.
I bought one, of course, my first in memory. The colour immediately caught my eye. I wondered if it would be very mellow. And yes, smooth, too, on tasting.
Some of you seem to be mellow! With names like Ganga and Reggaeblues! I remember I tried to discourage my stoning friends from smoking with me, by providing, I think it was Glenmorangie, and insisting we had that instead.
The cigarette papers and the dope kept coming out, every few minutes!
I just had to give up, and let them get on with it!
But I knew something. Far more pleasant than cannabis, narcotics or whatever, is a dram of fine Scotch!
And Glenmorangie Golden Rum Cask is such a beverage.
