Talisker 59.2% Limited edition

Postby Bart » Tue May 08, 2007 9:09 pm

I stumbled across a distillery bottling of Talisker with 59.2% alc. The back label says specially bottled for the swiss market. There is no age statement....
Is there any one who can give me some more info on this Talisker?

Cheers

It was done for the Friends of the Classic Malts in Switzerland , Similar to the Distillery only one that was on sale a few years ago , this one was bottled in 2003 . I've seen it on sale for 120 Euros .

This special 10 yo bottling for Switzerland for Christmas 2003 seems identical with the NAS bottle sold at the distillery only from 2004 on.

Hello Bart,

There seem to be a few bottles of this floating around NZ all of a sudden - I managed to pick one up from Regional Wines in Wellington.

How's business, by the way? Got anything interesting in lately?

It was a special bottle for the classic malts of Switzerland, bottled at Cask Strength as for the Cask Strength bottles sold exclusively at the distillery. The age is not specied, but believed to be in 8-10 YO range.

Thanks guys....I was told it's was an older Talisker, but it's the best Talisker I ever had (and I had a few :) )
