Bowmore 15yo (Mariner)

Postby killerwhale » Tue Mar 06, 2007 3:04 am

ack, sorry for making so many posts

anyway.... I read the flavour profile on the bowmore and was wondering if it's worth $70 canadian in forum members opins.... ardbeg is 73 so that is my comparisson I suppose..... if it's not that special, I'd rather pay $3 more for ardbeg (which I love) :D

thanks for all opins :)

I'm a big fan of both Bowmore and Ardbeg, but over here in Ontario, the Ardie 10 is $75, and the Bowmore 15 is about $55. Given those price differences, I'll take the Bowmore. At your price points, I'd favour the Ardie, but the two drams are rather different.

I still say the Bowmore 15yr (@ $70) is a bit overpriced...

Yeah, 71 is kind of a lot!

As long as you have something to say or ask, no one really minds, kw. But when you get to 5,000 or so posts, you might want to make an appointment with a mental health professional.

Frodo.... $55, yikes.... I'd have a bottle at that price, seems so high out here... :(
I think I shall pass on it for the moment, I really wanted to give it a go but for $3 more..... ack.... will mull it over :(

lol mc, thanks :D

Lawrence, thanks for input.... I am still unsure when I will try it, I was thinking of Bowmore 17 first though there are a couple of scotches I'd like to try first... and for the price of the 17, I could get Laga 16 and I think it would be hard to pass up Laga.... :?
