Bowmore 21 - collectible and/or not made anymore?

Postby Vange » Fri Dec 29, 2006 4:04 pm

I was at a store last night rifling through all the SMSW on teh shelf and spotted a Bowmore 21 year in a black box display. When I picked it up one of the employees said to me it's no longer made. I searched on here and didn't find anythign specific to Bowmore 21, most posts are about the highly collectible BB. Any info is greatly appreciated! I just want to make sure I didn't leave a gem on the shelf last night!

Bowmore have discontinued the 21yo, this was replaced by current 25yo. Alos in the past Bowmore done a 21yo blend which was even rarer than the 21yo single malt.

Hi all,

The Bowmore 21 43% OB is a very gentle dram. I have one open right now. Subtle peat and white fruits, with a maritime finish.

It is a rare bottle nowadays. But it's still for sale over here for app. € 130

It's discontinued for a few years already. But in fact all bowmore OB's are in a few weeks. There's going to be a new range, in a new bottle etc.

Legend/12/15 darkest/18/25 is the new range.

The bottle had a white label on it or so I think! I guess if it's the belnd it's wroth getting, but otherwise I'll probably pass it by.

Interesting! I recall reading somewhere recently that the Legend was going to be discontinued?

Cheers,

That is what I saw somewhere as well, that Legend was being replaced by the 12yo.

In our local market the new range is going to be as said above.
