I need to ask the not so obvious. Ship what? :P Scotch from stores around the USA? Scotch from stores in the UK and Europe?

If you are looking in the USA i would either try http://www.sameswine.com or http://www.binnys.com both stores are located in Illinois. They ship to approx 44 states if I recall.

You can ship product in from the UK, however, you need to get a special permit from the ATTB (formerly the ATF). It would be cheaper and easier in most cases to buy a plane ticket to the UK and buy your booze and fly home. You can get a special case made to hold your booze and place it into checked baggage.

Happy hunting

I was having a tough time finding the balvenie for a non-heart stopping price.

Another place to try is K&L Wine Merchants in San Francisco, Ca. They don't have nearly the selection of Binny's but they do have some nice deals from time to time.

Cheers!

I'll second Binny's - have bought from them before and received great prices and the bottles were packaged very well. Brett (their scotch guy) is also helpful and responds to questions quickly.
