Use the search function (try "walker AND blue") and you will find lots of comment about this bottle hereabouts. I'm afraid you won't like a lot of it, though! The consensus is that it's a perfectly drinkable but dreadfully overpriced whisky, aimed at conspicuous consumption. There is plenty of dissent, though, and if you click on "Whiskies" above and search for it, you will find that Michael Jackson and Dave Broom both rate it highly.
I've never had it.
Here are the prices I paid, all per 750ml:
Red = $22
Green = $56
Gold = $75
Blue = $215
The Blue Label is way, way overpriced. I also personally think it is overrated as well. It is delicious...make no mistake about it. I taste caramel, honey, and some smoke and a bit of salt. However, it just doesn't warrant the price by any imagination and I now feel it is a bit of a let down. Not enough complexity....not enough character.
It's all cowboy hat and no cattle.
I just bought a whisky for $50 that I personally enjoy much much more than JW Blue.........The Balvenie Double Wood 12. Outstanding.
Ranking the JW labels:
1) Gold Label
2) Blue Label
3) Black Label
4) Green Label
5) Red Label
