Park Avenue bottlings of Highland Park?

Postby Sherried Malt » Sat Jun 24, 2006 10:09 pm

Has anyone tried any of them? How do they compare to the regular OBs?

I'm particularly interested in the one they bottled for Whisky Live in NY.

Hello Sherried Malt,

There was some discussion of the HP bottlings in this thread:

I was interested in the HP Park Avenue bottling because of the Malt Madness reviews. However, it seems that the $200 bottle from Whisky Live may be better than the $185 described in MM.

If you do pick one up, please let me know how it is. If I can, I'd love to purchase one this summer.

Mike, I tasted the Whisky Live bottling at the event...and if I had $200 available for a bottle of whisky, that one would be at the top of the list...

I have a bottle and must say it is superb. Definitely a worthy purchase if you have the cash to spend on it.

Thanks to all for their help and comments. I'm still sitting on the fence but I'll likely take the plunge... :D

I've had a few tastes of a friends bottle of the HP Park Avenue bottle from Cask No. 7366 - Distilled 1980 - bottled 2004 (24 years) 58% ... It was wonderful, memorable and worthy of every penny spent.

I have since bought one that has remained unopened ~ reserved for a special occasion or reason to celebrate ... like when I can buy another bottle!!!
