Clydesdale Clynelsih

Postby smokey » Mon May 22, 2006 12:09 pm

I was wondering if anyone has tried Clydesdale bottelings, and what your impressions were. Today I stumbled accross an interesting bottle. It's a Clydesdale Clynelish 1989-99 (i'm pretty sure) abv 60.5 or thereabouts. I just recently tried Clynelish 14ob for the first time and thought it was a nice dram, different than what i expected. I thought it was a bit expensive at 5,000 yen, but when I saw it was #15 from a cask of 150 I thought it might be worth it. I'm not so much a collector as a ...stasher....I'll drink it, and I like to have a couple interesting bottles to look foreword to. Think this could be one?

I thought it was strange such a limited bottling would still be on the shelves, and it kinda made me wonder about the bottler, which i know absolutely nothing about. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Sorry for the delay. Went back to the small shop to check out the whole lineup for Clydesdale.

Highland park 89-99 58.2abv 1 of 480
Mortlach 89-99 60.5abv 1 of 480
Clynelish 89-99 61.8abv 1 of 230
Aberlour 89-99 63 abv 1 of 301

I guess what is so strange is that they are still on the shelf. Don't you think it's odd that they're still around? Still...maybe i'll pick one up. just to see...
