nb Before anyone asks my net is still empty although I'm sure I saw a little green man riding a unicorn.
I've tasted a few, perhaps 10 different, scoring from 71 to 89. Fair prices make them worth trying IMHO.

Downside of this note is that it was written at a festival, so only had 1 occasion to sample this dram. I usually prefer to taste a whisky at least 3 times or so beofre writing a note on it ...

Well, I usually like to try them several times as well, but I do notes on all occasions so I can see how my notes differ.
I have my eye on a 1988 Bunnahabhain from Scott’s that’s going for $120 and a 1974 Highland Park for $110. My only concern with Scott’s is that in my local area they are priced a fair amount above what most other IB’s sell for (when I can find them), which are more in the $50-$90 range. Based on on-line reviews I’ve seen, the consensus is that Scott’s puts out a consistently very good product, but doesn’t often venture into the realm of exceptional or superb.

The interesting thing is, that the homepage of Speyside Distillery whose owning family the Christies are behind Scott´s Selection and Private Cellar states that the malts are chill-filtered whereas other pages claim they are not.
As the data on the labels are somewhat sparse I think that thee contents of the bottles are vattings of different casks most of the time. As they do not give the year of bottling look at the code printed in black onto the glas of the bottles it is stated as ... /03/ ... for example.
