Got my copy today - some interesting stuff, both historically and about the current market. Perhaps it is because my interest lies more with whisky than with beer, but I am not yet as keen to read as much of the magazine as I can when I first get it. With Whisky Mag I do tend to sit down and go through most of it in a day.

I concur. I haven't even really read #1 yet! I used to read several beer magazines, but my tastes have settled into one little corner of the beer world, for the most part, and I'm not as interested in keeping up any more. I fervently hope this never happens with whisky!
I think you may have hit the nail on the head, Mr. T. Whereas I am open to most different types of whisky and genuinely enjoy each on its merits, I find that I like particular styles of beer more than others so am less swayed by what other people have to tell me about them.
