The Glenlivet Nadurra 16 years 48% non-chillfiltred
The Glenlivet 12 years first fill sherry.
The release is only for the tax free market and vas initially released at the UK airport retailer World Duty Free at Heathrow’s Terminal 4.
1. Does anybody know if it can be purchased elsewhere?
2. Has anybody seen any taste notes or tested the bottlings and care to comment on them?
I should state up front that it was the last whisky I tasted in a session that lasted three hours and included about 35 whiskies beforehand......
(Although I should clarify...I had been spittooning all afternoon, so I was 99% sober and in full command of my senses and faculties. However, it would be fair to say that my nose and palate were possibly a little tired).
Anyway, having said all that, the Nadurra struck me as being a gentle and mild whisky. It was certainly in the Glenlivet house style, being beautifully floral, delicate, and light, and with a soft body. However, I cannot recall being blown away by the flavour...it was light and restrained, and it didn't grab me as being all that exciting. At this point in the day, I'd stopped scoring, so I don't have a score to give you.
Perhaps if I'd tasted it earlier in the day, my thoughts would be different?
Anyway, hope that's of some help to you.
Try the usual suspects:
