My brother's new screenplay calls for an allusion to an extremely rare whisky that online "those in the know" or "those in the $" would ever be able to put there hands on. Anyone have a few examples that we could reference?
How about a "Springbank 1919"? I saw a bottle of this in Fortnum & Mason (London) a few years ago with a price tag of £8000. There is a bit more of a story connected to it as it was stolen later from its re-enforced glass case, but it turned out the bottle on display in the store contained only vinegar or something similar .... the bottles with real Springbank were well secure!
I have a White and Mackay copper pot still decanter. Origonal packaging AND whisky in pristine condition. Still is embossed with 22k gold. Can you help re rarity and valuation of this item? I would be grateful for any info at all. Thanks. Bill
