Jurys’ Jocktail Challenge

Postby AmandaWhaymand » Wed Oct 17, 2012 10:07 am

Jurys Inn is inviting Glasgow’s party crowd to get their creative juices flowing and dream up a lip-smacking new recipe to grace the brand new cocktail menu.

Jurys’ Jocktail Challenge is being launched to mark the refurbishment of Scotland’s largest hotel.

The Jamaica Street venue is introducing a cocktail menu to complement an already extensive drinks list and a space is being saved for the most delicious and creative Glasgow recipe.

Barry Rowland, General Manager said: “We’re looking for a cocktail to capture the spirit of Glasgow.

“We want our signature drink to be unique and to have a distinct Scottish edge.
“It will be interesting to see peoples’ ideas behind the new blend, but of course, taste is the most important factor – I’ll be one of the judges having to try each recipe.”
The winner will receive a fun cocktail master class for six people and will enjoy the hotel’s newest dining experience with a Jurys’ grazing platter to share.

Following extensive refurbishment, Jurys Inn Glasgow’s chic bar area is set to become a regular spot on the Glasgow social circuit.

The newly refurbished Grill Bar offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy food and drink with friends and the Grill Menu offers a selection of light bites, grazing platters to share and main courses fresh from the grill.

The bar also offers tea and coffee from the new Costa Coffee menu and serves fresh pastries and cakes from Costa’s Impulse range.

The winning entry will earn a spot on the cocktail menu alongside some old favourites – Cosmopolitan, French Martini and Pina colada – as well as Jurys’ cocktail of the month.

If you have a taste for the finer things in life and fancy seeing your own cocktail concoction on the exclusive new cocktail list at Jurys Inn Glasgow, get mixing and send your entries to: jurysinnglasgow@jurysinns.com by December 31st.
