Decision-One Malt to Drink that's it..Forever

Postby Peter07 » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:38 pm

You have a decision to make. You can only have one malt to drink, forever. Choose wisely, and then decide. My choice...Lagavulin 16

I'm cheating slightly by saying this:

Aberlour Abunadh. ( I get to switch between batches right?)

Perhaps, we should make it a regular available. However, it would be tempting to make it a one time release.

Tough one. It has to be affordable, because it would be bad to be locked in to something I can no longer afford. Uigeadail is kinda borderline there, due to a variable and sometimes high price. Lagavulin is better, in that respect, but the quality is (perhaps strangely) more variable than Uigie. Maybe the Laga DE would be a better bet. And probably more likely to remain on the shelves for a long time to come.

On the other hand, Talisker 10 would be safe. Not as complex as the others (complexity is key, over the long run), but really, could I ever get tired of Tal?

Hmm... :?

I'll go with the Lagavulin Distiller's Edition.

Easy for me!
Rosebank 12 flora fauna.
(or should I make it that Rosebank 21 smws bottle?)
(or the Glenfiddich 21 rum finish?)
(Or the Glenfarclas 21?)
(Glengoyne 17?)
Actually, I am not very good at this, am I?
Doh!
