Glendronach 12 year old

Postby grapescot » Wed Oct 21, 2009 10:29 pm

Hi,
Just curious. Which Glendronach 12 year old was used for the 2009 whisky awards? Was it the new 12 year old at 43%ABV or the previous bottling at 40%ABV?
Thanks
GS

GS, it's been the same wording for the last 2-3 bible editions so must be the old one.

At the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2009 it was prized the new version at 43% ABV.

Thanks for the feedback. I should have been more specific. I was referring to the Whisky Magazine World Whiskies Awards 2009, where it placed first in Speysides 12 and under. Can anyone confirm if this was the old one or the new one?

I don't know, but the problem with whiskymag (in particular for the independent bottlings) is that the amount of information provided is not sufficient to identify for sure the exact bottle.
