Jeez, i lost one bottle in the post last week and was pretty gutted, to loose virtually a whole collection i'd hate to be in his position.

Seems odd though, they must have been stolen by somone who knew what they were, joe bloggs wouldn't try and flog them. It sounds more like stolen to order. But then again how on earth would you move all those bottles without anyone noticing.

I did wonder how easy it would be to set up a online database of bottlings, so that people can add theirs and add updates like 'sold to Mr Smith, Aberdeen. That way track bottles. I suppose like number plate recognition over here where you send a text to find out about a certain car.

Will keep my eye open.

I just received an e-mail yesterday about this subject. It's a newsletter from a well known whisky shop in Zottegem. Everybody registered to this newsletter will receive this message with a link to the list of stolen bottles. Let's hope we'll get some result soon.
