Postby tripledis » Fri Jan 30, 2004 9:16 pm

I have been told that Jameson Gold is being taken off sale, does anyone know if this is correct?

I hope not :(

Thanks

Chris

I don't think this is true. Where did you hear this?

I was told this by the bar man at the Jameson Pub found nr to the Old Distilery in Dublin. I don't know why he would say this if it wasn't true.

Well Tripledis,
You should always take what a barman (especially a Dublin one!) says with a very large dose of salt!

I just heard today from Town Wine & Spirits (in Rhode Island, USA) that Jameson Gold will no longer be available. :(

Maybe they didn't make enough of the vrigin oak whiskey to sustain the brand? I saw lots of it in the Celtic Whiskey Shop in Dublin - I will ask them.

Jameson Gold is not being delisted but is being restricted to Travel Retail and duty free outlets. This is the word from Irish Distillers.
