Smith & Wollensky Wild Scotsman Tasting

Join us on Thursday, April 9, 2009 for a Scotch Tasting featuring and a unique four course dinner prepared by our Chef. Our guest speaker will be Jeffrey Topping, founder of Wild Scotsman Whisky and the Master Blender for the Wild Scotsman Brands. Under the mentorship of the only living Master Distiller and Master Blender of Scotch Whisky in the World, John McDougall. Jeffrey has either learned, experienced, or worked all aspects of the Scotch Whisky Industry and will share his hands on experience and passion. The reception is at 6:30 PM and the Dinner starts at 7:00 PM.

The pairings are outlined below:

1st Course

Wild Scotsman 15yr -silver medal IWSC 2006

Poached Lobster with spiked cream & arugula

2nd Course[

Wild Scotsman Black Label Vatted Malt- Gold Medal San Francisco Spirits 2009

Maple walnut crusted salmon with a candied citrus oil

3rd Course

John McDougall's 16yr Single Cask Bladnoch at Cask Strength

Antelope Chop over scalloped potatoes with a Juniper Sherry Glaze

4th Course

Wild Scotsman 12yr Royal Lochnagar

Vanilla Roasted Pear with a Chocolate almond tuille & Scotch Carmel

The event is priced at $85.00 per person plus tax & gratuity.
