...yes, well done Dalmore! First imressions: Sweet, full, quite dense, definitely on sherry side, with notes of orange (which I liked already in 12yo Black Isle).
I will surely pick this up in the near future as the Black Isle is my number 2 whisky! So far I also tasted the new 12y and the Black Pearl but the Black Isle is still my favourite
So can you tell us how the 15y differs?

That's good to know. Can you give a timeframe of how fast? I had quite a few bottles ( 1000cl ) and didn't notice this; normally though the bottles are empty within a few weeks.
Here are my impressions so far :
NOSE : Light on the nose with mostly oranges on the foreground
PALATE : Oranges again but now with nice spicey citrus fruits ( grapefruits for me )
FINISH : Rather short finish ; only the spicey notes stay longer
Overall not so creamy as expected and certainly not as the 12.
It''s more like the Black Pearl but that has more spice and a longer finish.
Adding some water (whisky/water 95/5 or even less ) lesson the impact of the spicey notes and makes it a bit more creamy.
Overall a very nice Dalmore but I do prefer the 12 and especially the 12 Black Isle which still is my favourite Dalmore
Any whisky that can act as such a great introduction to our world has got to be congratulated.
