Whisky Live Warsaw 14th-15th October 2016 - Guests Announced

Postby samcoyne » Fri Oct 07, 2016 5:03 pm

October's Whisky Live Warsaw will this year feature guests including Dominic Roskrow, Ingvar Ronde and George S. Grant, celebrating the event's international character. Each guest will provide sessions over the Friday and Saturday.

Roskrow is considered one of the greatest authorities on whisky in Europe. As the director of 'The Whisky Tasting Club', his reviews are regularly published in newspapers such as The Times and The Daily Telegraph in Great Britain and in The Daily in the US. Roskrow also writes for this year’s Whisky Live Warsaw 2016 media sponsor, Whisky Magazine, however in Poland he is best known as the author of 1001 Whiskies You Must Taste Before You Die.

Roskrow will host two master-class sessions – ‘Unique Japan – limited editions from Japan’ and ‘La Maison du Whisky - Artist #5 limited series.’

Ingvar Ronde, editor of the Malt Whisky Yearbook, who began his whisky adventure in 1989 when he took a journey to the Speyside distilleries, will provide another highlight of the event. The newest edition, Malt Whisky Yearbook 2017 along with the author's signature will be available during the festival, providing attendees with an opportunity to question the author.

George S. Grant – the sixth generation owner since 1865 of Scottish distillery Glenfarclas - will present two master-class sessions – ‘Glenfarclas – influence of the cask’ and ‘Glenfarclas – take a journey through the decades.’

Further master-classes will be provided by Ian Chang, Stephan Swinney, Janusz Trendowicz, Jan Beckers and Michal Plucisz across the two days.

More information about Whisky Live Warsaw 2016 is available at the official festival website http://www.whiskylivewarsaw.com. Single-day and two-day tickets as well as master-class tickets are available through the website.
