The new edition is inspired by Arkle's visit to the distillery warehouse, where the whisky is aged for decades. "My illustration on this label captures the essence of what makes the whisky so special - time," said Arkle. "The label depicts a dark warehouse containing hundreds of casks of anCnoc. The rows of dusty casks stretch as far as the eye can see, where magic is happening - slowly and quietly."
The anCnoc Limited Edition Series is matured in Spanish oak sherry barrels, as opposed to its traditional American wooden barrels, which makes it soft in color and have amber highlights. The taste is characterized as spicy vanilla and rich coffee, which is followed by fresh lemons, cooked green apples and a hint of coconut.
Gordon Bruce, anCnoc distillery manager expressed, "We are extremely excited to release the next label in the anCnoc Limited Edition Series. Peter Arkle's design allows whisky lovers into our warehouse."
