Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. Appoints Debbie Morris Vice President of Human Resources

Elected Officer of Company After Guiding HR Efforts for 10 Years

Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. announced today that current Director of Human Resources Debbie Morris has been elected Vice President, recognising her exemplary leadership of the company’s Human Resources Department and overall service to the company.

Bardstown-based Heaven Hill Distilleries, the nation’s largest independent family-owned and operated distilled spirits producer and marketer has a portfolio of renowned, category-leading brands such as Evan Williams Bourbon, Burnett’s Vodka, Christian Brothers Brandy, and Hpnotiq Liqueur, and is the nation’s sixth largest overall spirits supplier. Heaven Hill employs approximately 500 people total at its Bardstown and Louisville facilities and in its nationwide sales organisation.

Morris, who leads the company’s personnel, labour relations, training, safety and process improvement efforts and reports to Heaven Hill Chief Operating Officer Allan Latts, joined Heaven Hill in 2002, and was named Director of Human Resources in 2007. Under her watch, Heaven Hill has instituted numerous strategic Human Resources initiatives, including new performance management and continuous improvement processes; an employee-focused safety culture; and strong labour and employee relations.

Prior to coming to Heaven Hill, Morris spent 8 years as HR manager at the Bardstown facility of Michigan-based Tower Automotive. An alumnae of Western Kentucky University who also studied at Bellarmine University, she is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute. Morris resides in Bardstown with her husband Bob.

“In her new position, Debbie will continue to lead our overall Human Resources initiatives and provide strategic direction for the company. She will foster an employee-oriented corporate culture that emphasises empowerment, safety, quality, continuous improvement and the recruitment and training of a superior workforce,” commented Heaven Hill President Max L. Shapira.
