"The more that people are optimistic about the future, the faster we will pull ourselves out of this depressed economic state," said John Glaser, Compass Box whiskymaker. "This is our small effort to try to help the world economy."
Optimism will be launched in London (arguably the city hit hardest by the global financial meltdown) at Whisky Live on 27 February 2009.
In the spirit of recessionary cost cutting measures, Compass Box will be bottling on-site at Whisky Live and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the first 170 hand-filled bottles at the show.
Not sure how fast it will go....
In terms of WMag offerings we will have the Karuizawa and Macallan (which debuted at Glasgow).
New to London will be an Imperial bottling - have tasted and is impressive.
Also the Michael Jackson blend - again had sampled and is seriously good.
Pricings for all will be confirmed on the day...

Well that's not something I get involved in, I will ask further up the tree for you if you like. I have a feeling we would not be doing that though as we do not have a licence for that sort of thing.
Hope that answers that.
