Got a copy of Dave Broom's new book. He goes around Scottish, Irish, US and Canadian distilleries (a selection per country) and covers a number of blends, but his aim is not so much to focus on the whisky (although he does give some tasting notes), but more on the people making it. Nice idea and there are more quotes from DM's in this book than in a lot of other whisky books put together. Also, quite a number of photos I haven't seen published anywhere else. In summary, a neat little book and a nice addition to my whisky library.

I found The Whiskey Distillers of Scotland, 1887 for $60 there.
On-line retailers like Amazon.com use Bookfinder to search for used books, but they usually add 60-70% to the Bookfinder price

I bought the centenary edition in 1989, it was edited by Mainstream Publishing, has almost 450 pages and ISBN is 1-85158-087-5
and price was £20.
Does anybody know how many were printed ?
Anyway there is a complete reprint of Barnard's book in Germany (Foreword only is in German)
