A lovely little hardback book, covering the world's best malts, blends and brands. Good colour photography of relevant locations, plus many examples of bottle labels.
As far as narrative, there's the usual tasting notes and history.
However, unusually, there's a lot of column inches devoted to the thoughts of distillery managers/workers.
My only criticism is that virtually all the personalities emphasised that technology was important, but that the human touch was critical. A very valid observation, but a bit boring when read for the thirtieth time.
Still, a worthwhile buy - even at full cover price.
