I have an Original Alfred Barnard, Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom. Published 1887. This is 1 of the last remaning Origianls out there in pristine condition. Probably the only one in this condition with all pages accounted for.
A piece of whisky history, If someone is willing to pay the right price, it could be theres.
Collectors and enthusiasts will know this book and copies of the first edition are highly sought after.
But the price looks high - it's estimated at £4,000 - £5,000 (+ buyer's premium). A copy was being offered on various forums earlier this year and got no takers - was it this one?
So far as I'm aware the top price paid privately is £2,500, so this looks expensive.
But great news if it sells and you've got one! Details here:
