Host for Irish Whiskey Tasting in London?

Postby Bowsy » Mon Apr 07, 2003 3:58 pm

Is anybody able to recommend a host for an Irish Whiskey Tasting in London? I have tried most of the usual routes (Irish Distilleries etc..) but have had no luck in finding anyone for London.

You could try to contact Jim Murray. He would know, at least...

I thought of asking Jim Murray but was unsure how to contact him - I tried through the Observer newspaper but didn't have any luck. Another thought was Peter Mulryan.

Thanks Aidan, that would help alot. If you could forward me Peters email at: john@bowsy.com.

In the meantime I will keep on trying. It still seems strange that although most of the brands from Ireland and Scotland are owned by the same companies, the Irish Whiskey brands are alot less 'accessible'and Irish Whiskey tastings whether in the UK or Ireland remain a rarity.
