Old Pulteney "1989 Vintage" vs "Distilled in 1989"
Old Pulteney "1989 Vintage" vs "Distilled in 1989"
I just purchased a couple bottles of Old Pulteney 1989 Limited Edition Lightly Peated 1989. Yay!... right? Whisky Mags 2016 Worlds Best Single Malt... right? But is it? I noticed the label on my purchase is identical EXCEPT on the button that says (in all the award pics) "1989" with "Vintage" below it. Mine says "Distilled in" with "1989" below it. Everything else, including tasting notes, is identical. Is this the same juice with a slight label change for bottles sold here in United States? Anyone know? In case you're wondering... it's excellent juice either way. Thanks.

The chaps at Masters of Malt tell me it's the same juice just bottled for USA. Just in case... I ordered one form MofM today also... they just got some more in stock this morning! One bottle per person.

I've now done a side by side tasting of both... they are virtually the same juice.
