Need suggestions
So I'm fairly new to whisky, drinking primarily bourbon for the past year or 2. I have been drinking mostly Woodfords, Basil Hayden's, Eagle Rare, and Jeffersons. Like them all, especially the Basil Hayden's and Jeffersons.
I would like to branch out and try new things but am need of suggestions. Would like to try scotch but don't know where to start. Love the complex flavors, but not the strong heat that comes with some spirits. Any suggestions?

Re: Need suggestions
Hi, I would stick to some lighter sweet and floral whisky tastes. The sweet notes will bring out the sweetness you like from Bourbons.
Personally I would start with a Glenmorangie or Glenfiddich. Each have multiple different finishes to pick from, but I would start with one of the basics and see how you like it. Each of these have a standard ABV and will not have too much burn.
*You can always add a drop or two of water to cut the edge if needed.
Hope this helps!

I'm also relatively new to Single Malts, so far I've found Old Pulteney 12 & the Glenrothes
2001 to be good ones to start with. After that, maybe move up to Bunnahabain XVIII
