I concur with you there. I've sent a PM a number of times now about it to little avail. I assume there are filters in place that block most of them but they are an irritant. You can mark the specific spammer as a "foe" which reduces their existence for you personally but they are still getting through.
In the alternative you can read the threads that interest you and when all the topics you are done reading have changed to "read" status, use the button at the top of the page " Mark Topics Read" to clear off the remaining spam filled topics. After a while you can tell which they are.
There is a lot of good information in these pages, don't let the spam ruin your visit.

I understand that staff are making efforts to remove spam when they can. I appreciate their efforts so I guess all we can do is support them in their efforts and continue to post meaningful information to counteract the fluff spammers generate.

The Spam is really killing the forum and putting people off. I do not come on here often but since the huge amount of spam started,I just cannot be bothered to wade through it all.
It ruins it form me.

The spammers must be supplying an email address, why don`t WM just spam them back and fill their email account with loads of useless crap? :P

How can we understand whether a site is genuine or scam. I am looking for an essay writing service and stucked with the searching, since the web contains number of essay writing services and so it is difficult for me to find out one from them. So if you have the right idea regarding to identifying a scam site, please give me the details.

Well, somebody has deleted a topic (What is happening to this forum??? or something like that) about this problem very recently. In that thread we were asking the same thing. Apparentely we struck a nerve because this whole thing has been deleted. I guess a lot has to with the same shitty attitude of the mods and total lack of interest that has been going for for a couple of years now in putting this forum back together and giving it's pride back that it deserves. But why bother, right? It's shutting down very soon. What a fokking shame.

I even sent one of the mods Damian Riley-Smith a PM on July 7th about this matter. He hasn't even opened the e-mail yet.

It was myself who started the thread you mention. I asked a respectful question without being rude yet the the thread has been deleted, why?
If you cannot ask a straightforward question for fear of come back then In my humble opinion that is a big issues indeed.
What a shame :o

Be careful now, you migh get banned. Or maybe Matt will delete your account. On the other hand. It's only for a couple of weeks, maybe months ... So who cares, right?
