Wich distillery to visit in Ireland?

Postby kljostad » Wed Jul 10, 2013 7:34 pm

Hi!

I´m going to Ireland in a few weeks time. We are going to visit most parts of the country, and I would love to visit a distillery while we are there. Does anyone have anything to recommend?

I have already visited Busmills, and Jameson is not very interesting. Are there any more?

I hope for your help.

Regards,
Kjell

You can do tours of Kilbeggan, Bushmills, Bow Street (museum, no longer operating), Midleton... Not sure about Dingle. You have to arrange a tour in advance at the Cooley Distillery. It's more an industrial type plant.

Thanks, Aidan!

We are staying close to Midleton for a few days, so I will visit them. We are also staying in Dingle two nights, and I have sent them a request to the distillery. I will do the same to Cooley, ase we are passing by not far from the distillery.

:-)

Regards, Kjell
