Haig Dimple

Postby Stevelock2010 » Sat Jun 02, 2012 12:09 am

Hello everyone,
This is my first post.. :-)

I have just been given a 26.5 fluid ounce bottle of Haig dimple, I was wondering what it would be worth. It has a curved Dimple label at the bottom, the D is in red. It has gold paper tape over the top of the gold lid and had gold string all around the bottle. I think it's 70's it says on the label around the neck. Dimple old blended scotch whisky.
I have tried to upload a photo but it didn't work
Thanks everyone

Hi Steve

Welcome to the forum.

From your description I would say that this is a standard expression. As to its value, somewhere in the region of £18-£23, may be £25 on a good day. If I were you I would invite some friends round and open it.

Cheers John

The Haig Dimple whisky distilling dynasty can also rightfully lay claim to be the more old Scotch whisky distillers having being more active distillers for over 300 years. The first recording of Haig distilling was also in 1655 when Robert Haig was also summoned to appear before the Kirk Session for all working his still on the Sabbath.
