A'Bunadh a Single Cask...

Postby standrew1 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 1:40 am

I have two bottles of A'bunadh. Batch #35 and Batch #39. The label on both say Single cask. Is A'bunadh a Single cask Whisky?

I remember this was discussed on a different forum, the consensus was that they were being rather cheeky in putting single cask on the label, doesn't it read Single Cask Oloroso Sherry Butts?

Huh, on the latest release (#39) the outer tube reads "Matured exclusively in Spanish oloroso sherry butts". It does not state single cask on the tube, just on the bottle label.

Larry,

I can tell you without doubt that A'bunadh is a vatting of a selection of butts and NOT a single cask. The labelling issue has been noted by Chivas Brothers and is being looked at.
