My friend from UK has sent me a bottle of very expensive whisky (about £400), but the parcel was empty, when it reached my country (our local post says, that there were 2 empty packages and 14 missing in this batch and it is a usual thing with RM). The parcel was sent via Royal Mail special delivery. The price of the bottle was not mentioned, but there was an insurance made for £500 (insurance cost was 3 pounds). We don't know what to do and how to act, as we are not experienced in such cases, especially with Royal Mail. Do we have any chance to get our money back? The bottle is quite old and there is no price confirmation (payment checks etc). Will we need to confirm the price of the bottle somehow or will they refund the insurance cost of £500?
