Bought the whisky I intended to buy and just had my first dram of the Lagavulin Distillers Ediition 1994
First impressions from memory ( compared to the 1991 edition ) : this one is darker in colour and the peat takes some time to show itself but comes trough fine after 1 or 2 drops of water.

Clynelish 14 - Just love this one. Complex and wonderful on the palette.
Nadurra CS - Another fav. Unfortunately finished mine so soon and am unable to get another one in my region.
Nikka from the barrel - Very very good.
Laph 10 CS - peps me up always.
The above have been consistently liked by me.
I have a PC8 and Yoichi 15 barely tasted and an Oban 14 unopened. Just got Wild Turkey rare breed and a Connemara CS peated, which were given just one try each. I am not considering them for this year's list yet as I need to spend a little more time with them.
# GLEN SPEY - 21 anni - Limited Edition 2010 - Distillato 1989 - Imbottigliato 2010 - 50.4%
# BRORA - 24 anni - Rare Malts - Distillato 1977 - Imbottigliato 2001 - 56.1%
Both complex and full of layer of flavors...very yummy

Now that's a surprise, not an Auchentoshan?
