Tullibardine

Postby desouza » Tue Jun 08, 2010 11:54 pm

Just found out that I have a 1970 vintage Tullibardine ,distillery bottling
with a 21 yr age statement and a 45% ABV. This was purchased from a collector a few years ago with a group of other whiskies. Does anyone have any info on this bottle ? Tasting notes, value etc. It looks very impressive and I don't want to open it especially if is valuable.

Thanks JayDie buddy!

That is the bottle - I'll keep looking for tasting notes because I definitely don't intend to open this bottle, just yet.

Where better to ask than the Tullibardine Distillerty... I thought... I sent an e-mail to them, with this as reply:
Thank you for your email and interest in Tullibardine Distillery.

Under the current owners no 1970 cask has been bottled, I guess that as this was 21yo that it was done by the previous owners or by someone who purchased the cask to bottle under their own label.

I am sorry we are unable to help.

Cristina Wilkie
