Nice sig...I see you've been reading your Ardbeg Committee handbook! Good Man!
You bet. Loyal fan, but they still won't sell me any scotch because of the country I reside in.
400 bottles?? Waaw. I have no idea where I would store all these bottles.
There used to be room for 100 in my whiskycupboard, but with all these "new" fancy bottlesizes I got room for much less
(You'd think they sell more from having weird bottles, but it leaves me room for 20% less, well more actually since some of the bottles ar nomal shaped and I do have to have a few stored outside the cupboard)

A Highland Park25 y.o. and a Talisker 25 y.o.
Do I keep them closed?
For the first 20 years of drinking single malts I never once thought about having any sort of 'collection' other than several back-up bottles of favorites. The only reason I have so many now is in the last 7~8 years I've slowed down considerably the drinking of (due to health reasons) but my buying of hasn't.
The answer to your query is, they're great whiskies you'll love them.
Drink them and buy more!

Umm, time for me to start killing off bottles.
Do you put the remaining 1/4 bottle into smaller bottles? How do you save that much whisky or has that not been a problem?
I also agree with the people who say Talisker 18, a classy version of the 10yo. Not as peppery but a tad saltier anda little smoother.
The Talisker 18yr has just became avaliable in my regular bottle shop, so I'm going to have to give that a try. This is my collection so far:
1. Glenmorangie original 10yrs.
2. Glenmorangie Nectar D'or.
3. Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban.
4. The Balvenie Double Wood.
5. Cragganmore 12yrs.
6. Lagavulin 16yrs.
7. JW Green Label.
8. Yamazaki 12yrs.
9. The Dalmore 12yrs.
10. Glenfiddich 15yrs Solera Reserve.
11. Glenfiddich 18yrs Ancient Reserve.
12. Highland Park 12yrs.
13. Dalwhinnie 15yrs.
14. The Glenlivet 15yrs French Oak Reserve.
15. Bruichladdich 12yrs Second Edition.
16. Oban 14yrs.
17. Glenkinchie 10yrs.
18. Macallan 12yrs Fine Oak triple cask matured.
19. The Glenlivet Nadurra
20. Old Pulteney 12yrs
I feel sorry however for lawschooldrunk and his Glenrothes Select Reserve. That is terrible. The only whisky so far I hated.
250, 300 bottles? Wow.
I currently have about 40 opened and 4 closed. They are:
Signatory 1990 Linkwood
Signatory 1992 Bladnoch
Unchillfiltered Collection Auchentoshen 7yo
Glengoyne 12 Cask Strength
I can't seem to keep them closed.

Santa also brought me an Old Pulteney, but since I'm a neophyte it was only the 12 year. Damn fine dram for the money, though.
Indeed it is - a staple in my cupboard (and may well be joined by the 17yo of which I have just started my first full bottle)
Do you prefer the 12 or the 17yo Old Pulteney?
