Postby whiskynovice12 » Tue Jun 06, 2006 11:27 am

Hello,

My boss has stumbled across the following and has asked me to get some values for him. Could anyone help or point me in the right direction.

Chivas Royal Salute 21 yo blue, red, green. Bought around 1990 I think.

Blair Athol 8 yo, bought in around 1987

Dufftown Glenlivet 12 yo, bought again around 1987

Tormore Glenlivet 10 yo, But bought in 1985.

they might not be worth anything, but I thought i'd ask.

Also JW Swing bought in 1984.

any help would be gratefully received,

See http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/

Royal Salute about £90.00 stg retail but blends are not very collectable so to see them on the likes of ebay you might not even get that for them.

Check the rest of the bottles on the above site and see if the pictures correspond and it will give you an idea.

Thank you.

I think my boss is going to be pleased. It says that the Dufftown is £250, Blair Athol £175, Tormore £63,

We have 36 bottles Blair Athol, 12 Dufftown and 8 Tormore. Not bad.

Also with the 6 bottles of Chivas and 6 bottles of JW Swing, maybe I could be on for a raise.

Cheers.

If your Dufftown Glenlivet is the "Coat of Arms" label then that Whisky Exchange price is really quite inflated.
A realistic price is around €85 to €120 per bottle.
I even know someone who recently picked some up in Spain for €15 per bottle!
