Bell's Old Scotch Whiskey

Postby naturekiwi » Fri Mar 03, 2006 4:38 am

I have just inherited 6 bells still full and sealed they have been in the family for about 30 years they are from very small 50mlx2,187.5mlx2,300ml, 500ml a wee bit faded on the labels but in good condition. I was told that about 18 years ago my mum was offered $20,000 by an american visitor. Can anyone help me find the true value of these bells

$20,000 18 years ago seems rather excessive for such small bottles. I can't imagine they'd be that valuable, but i'm no expert.

my suggestion: ask a whisky auction house like mctears in scotland or krüger in germany

perhaps they can help you

If you look on ebay you will see an over abundance of these Bell's from all ages. I think the market has changed with the advent of the internet, many, many of them go unsold.
