I hoped, perhaps some of you could help me out here: the thing is, I kind of stumbled upon two bottles of Glendronach 15y (not the Revival) and one Macallan 25y Fine Oak.
I tried to get some information about them on the Internet but especially about the Glendronach I didn't find much. They don't even seem to exist anymore?
Now, I gotta admit, I'm not really a whiskey lover myself, and above all, I don't know what is good and what isn't. So does anyone perhaps have some experience with those bottles?
Especially the Macallan seems to be worth a lot of money - certainly more than I would spend on a drink.
What the best move now? Should I perhaps sell it on ebay or something (and if yes, for how much - more or less)? Or is that the sort of thing collectors are perhaps looking for? Should I keep it?
Or am I completely on the wrong track at the moment and those bottles aren't even nearly as special as I imagine them to be right now?
I really feel a bit stupid asking all those questions but on the other hand I guess it would be a shame to simply 'pour it down' by someone (in that case me) who doesn't even know how to appreciate it...
So... thanks anyway. I'm just hoping for a quick response, nothing more really...
That helped me already to get a rough idea. Here in Germany it is no problem to sell a bottle of strong liquid on ebay - however there is still a 10% fee included - which seems a lot at over 1000 $. And I didn't know any alternatives (how to get to know collectors? for instance)
