JOHN PICK 1967

Postby obi » Tue Dec 30, 2014 7:35 pm

Hello,

I’m writing this mail as a desperate attempt to salve my little mystery.
I really hope somebody can help me!

The mystery; I own a bottle of blended Scotch whisky “John Pick 1967”. If you search the www, there is nothing at all about this whisky???
After a long search (and by coincidence) I discovered that this whisky was produced or blended by Edward Young & Co – 146 St. Vincent street - Glasgow. Again, If you search the www, there is nothing at all about this firm/whisky???

Now I’m wondering, is the name and firm on the label real or fake?
Did the firm really exists…

I really hope somebody can lift the veil for me, or provide me some more information. It would be another piece in the John Pick jigsaw puzzle :)

Good news from the John Pick blended wisky mystery!
It‘s a true brand from the 60’es! I just received some old playing cards with the name and logo from the firm Edward Young & Co.
I wonder… is this the only surviving bottle in the world? Who would be put a bottle of blended whisky aside in those days?
Still, there’s some mystery left. Why is there nothing to find on the www about this brand/firm?
