McCallum's Scots Whisky

Postby Frank D.Scott » Tue Jan 08, 2002 2:32 am

I recently received a bottle of McCallums Scots Whisky with no label just a metal screw cap. It's a green bottle approx 750 ml
On the top of the cap is a Highlander with a claymore and targe. There is a patented 1930 on the top as well.Has anyone heard of this whisky? I am assuming that it's a blend.Any help would be appreciated.

I am not a collector and I have a bottle of Usher's Old vatted Glenlivet whisky..26 1/2. 1907 special reserve. I was wondering if it's a good whisky.

Yes to Both. Glenlivit is a good (good enough) quality brand; and Mccallums perfection (although cheap and rough) is usually bought for sentimental reasons.. ha ha. Its not what you would call a 'connoisseurs' whiskey. ha ha. But its drinkable.
