Port Ellen 10th & 11th Release - UK

Postby lungsten » Tue Jun 17, 2014 4:09 pm

Howdy whisky people,

I'm close to jettisoning some of my Port Ellen collection, and since eBay now prohibits the whole 'contents of the bottle are incidental' thing - I was wondering where the best place would be to punt these online or indeed offline?

Has anyone used this site?

I have the 10th and 11th release, any thoughts on valuation?

I already drank one 10th release and it was:

I used SWA. Very happy with their service and found them to be very nice and accommodating.
They go for around 700 pounds at SWA (before buyer's premium) I'd expect around 650 in a private sale. I'd happily give you 600 for the 10th but that is relatively low.

Remember to check the sellers commission. You'll need to pay this from your sale price. LiveWhiskyAuctions.com has 0% sellers commission. There is a Port Ellen No2 on there just now

We have auctioned a few Port Ellen's lately at www.whiskyauctioneer.com
with record prices including the 10th release reaching a staggering £975 last month.

We charge only 5% commission as well.

I would be happy to help.
