advice on selling a rare bottle

Postby adm1 » Mon May 26, 2014 12:56 pm

Hello,

I'm obviously new here, I'm looking for some advice please;

I have among others, a 1938 Macallans redstripe bottle in wooden casket that I'm looking to sell. While I do enjoy a whisky, I'm not a collector - it was passed down to me from my late uncle several years ago.

I'm from the north east of Scotland and would prefer to sell locally, is there any websites or contacts people could pass on of where to start looking?

Thanks,
Adam.

Thanks, I've been in touch with McTears in Glasgow today as they sold another 1938 a few weeks ago.

I was more looking for websites that offer to buy rather than auction tho.

I may be able to help, if you are interested in listing this bottle at auction we are based in Perth and frequently offer collections in the North East.

I have PM'd you with more information in the mean time please take a look at our website at www.whiskyauctioneer.com
